MOBILITY LAB VITORIA-GASTEIZ PRESENTS ITS INNOVATION LAB EXPERIMENTATION SPACES AT THE ITS CONGRESS IN SEVILLE
Together with the Mobility and Logistics Cluster of the Basque Country, the Foundation has informed entities, companies and sectors linked to these two areas about the opportunities offered by these eight areas.
It was also present at the Ciclosferia Fair in Valencia to meet operators, companies and industries in the sector first hand
The Mobility Lab Vitoria-Gasteiz Foundation has shared space with the Mobility and Logistics Cluster, MLC ITS Euskadi, Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia/Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, Gipuzkoako Foru Aldundia-Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa, Basque CCAM and ASIMOB at the ITS Congress in Seville, a key event where key stakeholders from Europe and other continents have explored future solutions for clean, resilient and smart mobility.
Organized by ERTICO – ITS Europe and in collaboration with the host city of Seville and ITS Spain, the event is aligned with important European initiatives such as the European Green Pact and the Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Strategy. It should be noted that ITS Europe is a reference event in Europe for Mobility Technologies.
With 3,500 participants, over 120 exhibitors and more than 100 sessions, this Congress has highlighted how local and regional developments reflect broader European ambitions for sustainable transport.
In this context, the Mobility Lab Foundation participated in the Smart Mobility Summit of Cities and Regions, held as part of the 16th European ITS Congress at the FIBES-Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in Seville.
The Summit, organized by Seville and ERTICO-ITS Europe, brought together policy makers and technical experts to discuss how Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) can help cities and regions to drive innovation and implement smart and sustainable mobility solutions aligned with social, environmental and economic objectives.
In this context, Iñigo Bilbao Ubillos, Director of Mobility LAB Vitoria-Gasteiz, participated in the panel discussion “Innovative air services: vision of progress for 2030“, a debate moderated by Vanessa Holve and reported by Dr Vassilis AGOURIDAS.
On the same day, they had the opportunity to share vision and experience with Carme Fabregas, Adam Bodor, Karen Hosie, Amela Sacirbegovic, Zornitza Dimitrova, Chris Lane, Salvatore Di Noia, Diego Bernárdez Morón, Carolina García Fá.
Mobility LAB Vitoria-Gasteiz has joined this key European event to show how innovative solutions for sustainable, connected and autonomous mobility are being promoted in Alava.
Similarly, a representation of the Mobility Lab Foundation has been present this weekend at the Ciclosferia CITY Fair in Valenciais, a fair for Urban Cycling and Cycle Tourism, to meet first hand operators, companies and industries in this sector.
The Technical Innovation Manager of the Foundation, Leire Balzategui, participated in the round table ‘Business models, profitability and financing’, which was moderated by Benjamí Aguilar Domènech of the Red de Ciudades y Territorios por la Bicicleta (RedBici).
Mobility LAB Vitoria-Gasteiz, is committed to the real experimentation of innovative solutions, and spaces like Ciclosfera are essential to weave alliances and share knowledge.
Both fairs, in Seville and Valencia, to talk and exchange views with people who lead projects and drive change from different areas of mobility and logistics.
