Data Space: Mobility and logistics data space.
We facilitate the exchange of data to generate real mobility and logistics solutions
We connect data to enhance decision-making, drive innovation and develop new data-based services.
What the Data Space is and how it works
The Mobility Lab Data Space is a collaborative environment that enables public and private organisations to share and use data relating to mobility and logistics.
It operates on a federated model that ensures secure data sharing, whereby each participant retains control over their information and sets the terms of use for that data.
This environment facilitates the integration of multiple data sources and allows real-world use cases based on shared information to be implemented.

A model based on trust, control and European standards
The data space is aligned with European initiatives like Gaia-X and BAIDATA, and meets the standards of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA).
We work according to a federated model whereby each participant retains control over their information, defining what data to share, who with and on what conditions.
Data are shared on a secure, transparent and voluntary basis, ensuring trust between participants and helping to generate shared value.
Trusted Data Space
MOVDATA is included on the CRED’s Trusted List, a recognition that reinforces our value proposition of operating with security, reliability and interoperability.
Benefits of participating in the mobility and logistics data space
Participating in the Data Space allows data to be shared securely in order to generate new opportunities, drive innovation and develop mobility solutions with a real impact.
-
Enhancing decision-making
We access integrated data, enabling us to analyse and optimise mobility more precisely.
-
Partnership between actors
We facilitate the exchange of information between public and private organisations.
-
Control and security of data
Each participant retains control over their data and decides how they are to be shared.
-
Interoperability
We integrate different data sources in line with common standards.
-
Developing new services
We drive innovative solutions based on the use of data.
-
Generating shared value
We turn data into knowledge of use to all participants.
-
Activation of real use cases
We apply the data to specific issues in the region.
-
Alignment with European standards
We work within frameworks like Gaia-X and IDSA to ensure quality and scalability.
How to participate in the data space
Access to the data space follows a structured process to ensure the security, validation and proper integration of each participant.
Stage 1: Customer acquisition and initial interest
The interested organisation, the source of the contact and its main requirement are identified. At this stage, Mobility Lab explains what the Data Space is, what value it can bring and what the next steps would be if the organisation wishes to proceed.
Stage 2: Application for membership and validation
If the organisation decides to proceed, the membership application form is sent to it. Mobility Lab reviews the information received, checks that the application is correct and confirms whether the organisation can formally begin the onboarding process.
Stage 3: Documentation, requirements and configuration
Once the application has been approved, the contractual and operational documentation is sent: contract/CFA, onboarding requirements and technical documentation. At this stage, specific requirements are also identified, such as integration via API, use of the organisation’s own Azure Storage, or both.
Stage 4: Formalisation and operational activation
Once the documentation is complete and payment has been confirmed, access to the portal or the relevant environment is granted. The organisation receives login credentials, manuals and user guides, and is then integrated into the Data Space and ready to operate.
Be part of our ecosystem
If you are a company, public administration, technology centre or startup, you can take part in Mobility Lab by proposing cases, partnering on projects or accessing data and resources.
Connect with other stakeholders in the ecosystem and be part of change in mobility.
