\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\nThe Mobility LAB, which aims to raise awareness of the potential of data spaces in intermodal logistics and last-mile urban distribution, has organised a conference for companies in \u00c1lava in collaboration with the Vitoria-Gasteiz Intermodal Transport Centre. The event, called \u2018Data to boost intermodal logistics and urban distribution\u2019<\/strong>, will take place on 21 January at the Europa Conference Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz<\/strong>, and registration is now open<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The conference hopes to show that data spaces, often seen as complex or distant technology, are actually an accessible and strategic tool for improving the efficiency, coneectivity, and sustainability of \u00c1lava’s logistics and industrial environment<\/b>.\u00a0To\u00a0do\u00a0this,\u00a0the\u00a0programme\u00a0will\u00a0offer\u00a0a\u00a0practical view based on real cases<\/b>, as well as explaining how companies can benefit from the D<\/strong>ata Spaces Kit<\/b>, a\u00a0public\u00a0aid\u00a0scheme\u00a0to\u00a0boost\u00a0their\u00a0implementation.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0event\u00a0will\u00a0begin\u00a0with\u00a0a\u00a0presentation\u00a0by\u00a0Mobility\u00a0LAB<\/b> director I\u00f1igo Bilbao <\/b>on\u00a0the\u00a0organisation\u00a0and\u00a0its\u00a0work as a hub for innovation in urban mobility and logistics in \u00c1lava<\/b>. Next,\u00a0Andoni Mart\u00edn<\/b>, head of the Digital Transformation Unit at the \u00c1lava Computing Centre, will explain what\u00a0a data\u00a0space\u00a0is<\/b>, as well as its main applications and benefits in the area of logistics.\u00a0<\/p>\n Later,\u00a0Leire\u00a0Balzategui<\/b>, Technical Manager of Innovation at Mobility LAB, will present two projects already in progress and financed by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration: DATADUM<\/b> (Data for More Sustainable Urban Goods Distribution) and DATALOG<\/b>\u00a0(Data\u00a0for\u00a0Intermodal\u00a0Logistics).\u00a0Both\u00a0projects\u00a0will\u00a0also\u00a0be\u00a0discussed\u00a0in\u00a0two\u00a0specific\u00a0round\u00a0tables<\/b>, which will allow for an in-depth look at their objectives and expected results based on real cases from other cities and companies.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0conference\u00a0will\u00a0also\u00a0include\u00a0the\u00a0participation\u00a0of\u00a0Adif<\/b>, which will present some of the main developments in data spaces applied to intermodal logistics. Antonio Aguilar<\/b>,\u00a0Deputy\u00a0Director\u00a0of\u00a0Freight\u00a0Transport\u00a0Promotion,\u00a0will\u00a0discuss\u00a0advances\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0development\u00a0of\u00a0rail\u00a0motorways<\/b>, a strategic project that will have \u00c1lava as a key point on the Iberian Peninsula. He will also present SIMPLE<\/b>, a digital platform for the integrated and digital management of documents, data and information flows associated with multimodal freight transport.\u00a0<\/p>\n The closing remarks will be given by Antonio\u00a0Alcolea<\/b>,\u00a0Deputy Director General of Programmes, Governance and Promotion at the Directorate General for Data of the Secretariat of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, who will explain how to access the\u00a0Data Spaces Kit<\/b>, designed to facilitate the implementation of these technological solutions in companies and organisations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
